David Weir wins fourth gold medal of paralympics 2012. he won a stunning gold medal for Great Britain in the T54 5,000 metres on Sunday night, although the drama of the occasion may have been a little too much for his heavily pregnant fiancée. Wheelchair racer David Weir has been voted the British Paralympic athlete of the year after a vote by athletics fans. David won with 48% of the vote, just ahead of another wheelchair racer Hannah Cockroft. After the win "I had to be in super-human shape to win four and I've done it," said Weir. (source on-line)
