An X Factor hopeful who was axed from the show after she glassed her boyfriend has avoided jail.
Lucy Slater was 21 to 51 weeks jail, suspended for two years, a two-year supervision order and 120 hours of community service was sentenced.
Slater, Ryton, Gateshead, DJ William Aitken June convicted of unlawful killing.

Judge Toby Hedworth said: "drink played a greater role than is now suggested."
"I also take into account the effect of your actions on Mr Aitken. All that he has ever sought in these proceedings was an acknowledgement of what happened."
And while he was in hospital because of their injuries, J. Aitken spent and lost his business career in modelling, the court heard.
J. Aitken said a life-changing experience, "and called the attack" an act of stupidness, "which may be due to the loss of many.
"I do not think that it was something that we like each other and we do not." - He said.
"I still love her and I want to know why she did it. It's a really sad love story. We did not plan our future like this. Instead of us breaking up, we have been ripped apart."
Slater is a more serious offence with the intention of killing was first accused of lesser charges, but his plea is accepted by prosecutors. source "sky news"
